Former President Donald Trump Sunday lashed out on social media against several people, including a federal judge, political rivals and even the U.S. women’s soccer team, an outburst that follows his continued attacks against his indictment in the 2020 election interference probe last week.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump targeted D.C. federal Judge Tanya Chutkan—who is set to oversee the federal election interference case—saying there was “NO WAY” he could “GET A FAIR TRIAL” WITH THE JUDGE “ASSIGNED” TO THE RIDICULOUS…CASE.
The former president noted his legal team will seek the recusal of Chutkan from the case “ON VERY POWERFUL GROUNDS.”
Trump also wrote he’ll seek a “VENUE CHANGE” in the case after he attacked Washington D.C. by calling it a “FILTHY AND CRIME RIDDEN EMBARRASSMENT TO OUR NATION.”
Responding to Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) recent comments calling him a “scared puppy,” Trump lashed out at the former House Speaker, saying she is “a Wicked Witch” and a “sick & demented psycho who will someday live in HELL!”
Trump also tweeted a video of GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell—delivering a speech in Kentucky on Saturday while facing boos and chants of “retire” from the audience—and wrote “I AGREE…BOOOOO—RETIRE.”
According to the Associated Press, McConnell was delivering the speech at Fancy Farm, Kentucky, and the boos and retire chants came from Democrats in the crowd.
Trump’s social media outbursts on Sunday were not just limited to public officials and political rivals, as he took a swing at the U.S. Women’s soccer team for crashing out of the World Cup after losing to Sweden in their “Round of 16” game Sunday. The former president wrote that the team’s loss was “fully emblematic of what is happening to the our once great Nation under Crooked Joe Biden.” Accusing many of the players of being “openly hostile to America,” he added, “WOKE EQUALS FAILURE.” Trump also mocked USWNT star Meg Rapinoe for missing her spot kick during the penalty shootout, writing “Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!!”
