‘Sleeping Beauty Hair’ Was a Major Trend at the Met Gala 2024

Extra-long “Sleeping Beauty hair” was a major trend at the 2024 Met Gala. After all, the theme of the evening was “The Garden of Time,” so romantic fairy-book florals were already a key reference. For the best hair looks, we saw florals and vines snake around gowns and through strands, but we also saw trailing princess hair and ponytails.

The evening kicked off this year’s fashion exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which will open to the public on May 10. Its title? “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” It’s not a reference to Disney. Instead, it celebrates 250 historic garments that normally lie “sleeping” in the archives and are set to be showcased lying down (on account of their fragility) in glass cases.

But that didn’t stop Aurora hair dominating the evening. We saw it on the likes of Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, Keke Palmer, Elizabeth Debicki, and more.

Here are some of our favorite ways the celebs wore Sleeping Beauty hair at the 2024 Met Gala….
