It’s all happening! The Met Gala 2024 is officially underway, and, as expected, celebrities have pulled out all the stops for fashion’s biggest night.
The theme this year is Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, and coincides with the Costume Institute’s exhibition of the same name. However, the theme is one thing, and the dress code is entirely another. Attendees at this year’s Gala will be dressing according to “The Garden of Time.” While some will surely take those words literally with floral or clock motifs, we also anticipate that a few Met Gala fashions will have us scratching our heads as we attempt to unlock the more clever references to the dress code.
The Met Gala guest list is always hush hush, however, there are a handful of celebrities who will be turning up and out in their best Met Gala looks: the co-chairs. This year, Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth have been selected by Anna Wintour as the co-chairs of the event. As for Taylor Swift? Well, a Taylor Swift Met Gala is not looking good.
