It’s official: Gisele Bündchen and her Jiu-Jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, are an item. The two have been quietly dating since June 2023, People confirmed on February 21.
“They’re taking it slow,” a source told the outlet. “They started out as great friends first. She’s very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other.”
The pair had been photographed together several times since Bündchen and her ex husband, Tom Brady, finalized their divorce in 2022, however, the supermodel had never publicly confirmed nor denied that they are a couple. Mostly, they were spotted jogging or training together, which tracks given how they met.

Valente operates a Jiu-Jitsu studio in Florida with his brothers, and has worked with Bündchen since at least February 2022, when she first shared a video from a class on Instagram. At the time, the 43-year-old was still married to Brady, though his decision to play one more season in the NFL after announcing his retirement appeared to put a strain on their relationship. The pair publicly announced their divorce in October 2022—seven months after Brady retired from his retirement.
